Is the opening of the second Figaro outlet in Davao City indicativce of the growing coffee culture in the city? Figaro just opened its second outlet at SM City Davao yesterday. The first one is located at Chimes Department Store.
Despite the common notion that Figaro is a foreign-owned company, it is really a business venture fo seven Filipino friends who loved coffee and traveling. Theere are only two Figaro outlets in Mindanao and these are all located in the city. There are plans to open a third franchise outlet in Cagayan de Oro City.
Davao City Figaro franchise owner Cyndi Yap said the Davao market is ready for coffee. In fact, her decision to open up another outlet at SM was brought about by demands from her Chimes and other customers who requested a much nearer venue for those residing in the Matina area.
